Terrace Roof Project

Terrace after

Last night, a year long project finally came to an end on my house. On the second floor over the kitchen, there is a large terrace with a rubber roof, and what was originally when we bought it, a wood railing. With wood being wood and having a tendency to rot and need to be replaced, I had a new rubber roof installed, a new custom iron railing fabricated/ installed and then ordered protective rubber tiles with drainage underneath, to be laid on top of and protect the new roof and allow for furniture and planters to safely be used. Thanks to Skidz Welding & Ironwork for the great job on the railing. 2 inch thick 24x24 floor tiles are from Greatmats (there 96 - 22lb tiles up on the roof, I know this because between myself and a freind, we carried them all up there). The end result is exactly as I had hoped, a little pricey, but worth it.
